| Our pens, still under
construction & being improved daily. |
We had water and
electricity ran professionally under ground to our pens with a
shutoff main & small insulated building so it would not freeze in
the winter |
We have concrete gutters between each pen also for
cleanliness |

Our custom built 5' X 5' insulated & heated dog
houses. We use Preifert pens with concrete slabs and metal roofs to
keep the rain & sun off of our bullies. The pens cost around $800
each from Orchalens and the dog houses cost us around $750 each with
the heaters, treated lumber, insulation & metal plus about 2 days
labor each to complete. We had the concrete slabs done & built the
metal roofs on ourselves with green house roofing metal. |

the electricity & water shed |
Our automatic
feeders built onto the pen so that our buiiiles can't step in their
food & get it nasty or eat the feeder itself. |

Our misting sprinkler system keeps our bully
youngsters cool all summer long |

our bullies insulated houses. Taken from the backs of our all 10
foot by 10 foot pens.

The whole back of our houses are hinged & open. The
whole back of the house is one big door that can be opened for
cleaning etc. |
We have many
more runs & pens than dogs so that most are empty at any given time.
This is a picture of one of our 100 foot trolley runs. This gives
our bullies a massive area to run & play on. Also our bullies are
let loose to run & play daily and many our our bulls run loose &
play permanently. We are currently building a massive front & back
yard on the house that will in essence be the ultimate whelping &
running pens. There will be extremely nice log dog houses built in
each yard as well. |

tree damage from the recent ice storm here in Oklahoma will be
cleaned up & the whole area manicured in the next few weeks. Picture

We keep 8 of our "pitbull dogs" in the house here at Mugleston's
"Pitbull kennels". All run free and are let out to go to the bathroom and play. Due to space limitations however we are forced to keep some of our
"pitbull dogs" in our "pitbull kennels" facilities outside. The above picture is our "pitbull dogs" house setup we use here at Mugleston's "Pitbull kennels". The awning keeps rain out of the "pitbull dogs" barrel even in severe thunder storms which we have frequently out here in eastern Oklahoma, often complete with golfball size hail and tornados. The awning is made from another barrel cut into 4 pieces. The teepee keeps rain and sun out of the "pitbull dogs" food. Every dog here at Mugleston's "pitbull kennels" also has a tree they can get under for shade.
For our outside "pitbull dogs" we have custom built 120 foot long runs, 42 foot chains, and one 34 foot long run. Each run has a 15 foot chain
giving the "pitbull dog" a 30 by 120 foot area to run and pay. That is about 3600 square feet of space for each run and 6800 square feet for
the chain areas. It's like having a separate back yard for each "pitbull
dog" and they still only take up a little over one acre of our land
combined. We will be moving to a bigger and more secluded piece of land in the next 6 months and we will be remodelling our facilities and going
with all 90 foot runs with a 10' by 10' pen at the end of each run. We are going to set it up so that with a 15 foot chain on each run our
"pitbull dogs" can get to food, water, and shade anywhere inside the
pen and can also go out the door any time and have a 90 foot long area to run and play. If you ave any good "pitbull dog" facility ideas that
we could incorporate into our new setup please email us and let us know,
your input would be greatly appreciated.

We also have six 10 foot by 10 foot Priefert pens and one 10 foot by 20
foot Priefert pen, all with 2 by 6 wood decks and sun shades. Attached to a few of the pens I have built 5 foot by 5 foot green dog houses with
6 inch thick insulated walls. The Priefert pens are indestructible and are nice for doing breedings, keeping puppies or just extra space if
needed. We have a few dogs that can bite right through chain link. Watuka can rip the chain link loose from the frame in about one minute
or she can rip through the center of the chain link itself in about 5 minutes. She's not used to being confined in a pen and if i put her in
one, she want's out ASAP. Watuka can't even scratch the Priefert pens. The wood decks will be converted to cement after we move with a gutter
running along the back of all the pens that runs into a septic tank built just for our "pitbulls".
We converted all of our old 10' by 10' chain link pens into one giant 70
foot wide round grass pen we use to let puppies out to play in, but not
Watuka:) We keep various toys and things in it and when we sell a puppy
we try to ship his personal favorite toy to his new home with him to help him/her adjust and feel more at home in their new
surroundings. If you have any questions or comments feel free to email
us. And as always, Thanks for visiting Mugleston's Pitbull farm.
Godzilla on one
of our 100' trollies. Most of our trollies are 80' to 100' feet long with a 25' foot chain for a total area on an 80 foot trolly of 130 feet
by 50 feet or 6,500 square feet per bull. Our trolly lines are set 22 feet in the air. We will eventually have
an 8 foot fence around our entire 5 acre dog yard. We are also now starting our
10,000 square foot climate controlled, indoor/outdoor whelping facility. All facility runs
have a 10' by 10' indoor pen with a cement drain automatic waterer, and a large wood
box set up for whelping or to be filled with hay for a dog bed. Each 10' by 10' indoor
pen is connected to a paved 10' by 40' foot partially covered outdoor run, also with
drain and separate septic system just for our bullies
